The Chef

Justin -

Justin graduated from HTA School of Culinary Art with a Professional Cookery and City & Guilds Diploma.
Since graduating Justin has achieved many outstanding Milestones, the highlight of which is certainly The winning of his South African Colours for Culinary Excellence in 2011.
Justin was nominated and appointed as a member of the South African Culinary
Junior Team who travelled to Germany and Competed in the Culinary Olympics in
2012, and returned with 2 well deserved medals.
He was then nominated and appointed as a senior member of the South African
Culinary Team who won a Bronze Medal, and a 1st place Food Hygiene at the Dubai
World Hospitality Tour in November of 2013.Experience gained throughout His passionate Career includes 3 years at Dalmont & Caldow Caterers where He was on occasion appointed as Acting Head Chef and had the pleasure of serving celebrated guests, the likes of which included Gill Marcus of the Reserve Bank, Jacob Zuma, Hellen Zille and Tito Mboweni, to name a few.Justin was also fortunate enough to spend valuable time with Gordon Ramsay.
Justin Gained further valuable experience at a number of elite destinations including  The Michael Angelo Hotel in Sandton, the Four Seasons Westcliff and the Forum Company at Turbine Hall.

 

Operations

Tyron -

Tyron has been in the Hospitality Industry for the past 15 years, he has gained vast experience in all sectors of the Industry.  He started at the age of 13 as a bus boy and built himself up over the years into Senior Management positions, his forte is customer relations where he started his career at Woolworths Foods then moved onto Tashas as the GM.  He branched out into the Golfing Industry where he was the F & B Manager for one of Gauteng’s top golfing clubs, he has since joined our team as Operating Partner where he has stepped into the role of Operations Manager.

Marina & Gavin –

Marina enjoyed over 20 years in the media industry, specifically marketing and client liaisons, but has since relinquished her very senior position to realize her passion in the food and beverage industry. Owing to Marina’s likeable personality and many years of servicing clients she is the face of Vista Chef’s Creations and will ensure that your event is perfectly coordinated and managed according to your wishes without undue complications.

Gavin is a practicing attorney who similarly devotes a portion of his day to his passion of food and involves himself in ensuring that your function is organized, managed and executed at optimum level.
Marina and Gavin are no novices when it comes to fine dining and general culinary arts and were the Owners/ Managers of the very successful Time Square Café for a period in excess of 12 years. During this time they developed and nurtured their culinary skills by inventing, testing, tasting and serving only the best meals to their valuable customers who, as a result of the personal attention received, showed unwavering loyalty and appreciation of their culinary experience.
